With the continued growth in the Arizona population and economic activity, the Tribes in Arizona are uniquely situated to take advantage of these trends through the development of their energy, mineral and natural resources. Doing so in an environmentally appropriate way can be challenging, given the current federal and state policies, but still viable. Pilar Thomas and Marian LaLonde will present on the legal considerations that Tribes might incorporate into their evaluation of resource development opportunities, with a focus on mineral development, water protection, renewable energy, and environmental review. Lunch included for in-person attendees. PRESENTERS: Marian LaLonde, Quarles & Brady LLPPilar M. Thomas, Partner, Quarles & Brady LLP
