The future looks golden for many communities in Indian Country who want to use electricity from greener sources and promote economic growth. Increasingly, Native American tribes are taking steps to attract developers of electricity from solar, wind, energy storage, geothermal or hydropower resources on tribal lands. But electricity is a heavily regulated industry, and regulatory issues often involve required approvals from multiple federal and state agencies. This seminar will shed light on how to identify the legal issues you will need to address, and provide tips on how to handle these transactions. Faculty: Tara S.
