Gain a basic understanding of bankruptcy law if you represent tribal governments, agencies and corporations. Program focuses on common areas of overlap where bankruptcy can impact tribal operations and finances as well as practical approaches for dealing with common bankruptcy questions faced by counsel representing Indian tribes. Finally, learn important recent developments regarding tribal sovereign immunity in the context of bankruptcy proceedings as well as the treatment of Indian tribes as "governmental units" under the Bankruptcy Code.
