Given today’s economic landscape, many tribes have an increased interest in diversifying their tribal economic portfolios. One such way for tribes to achieve economic diversification is to grow or acquire controlling interests in operating companies. When organizing operating companies there are a variety of different structures available to tribes and no one structure works for every tribe. This presentation will explore different structures along with advantages and disadvantages of each.
